Who We Are

Hospital Safety Training was created by our Training Director Joe Doidge. He has spent over ten years working in multiple facets of hospitals. He has held multiple positions including a technician handling the day-to-day hazmat operations at hospitals, a consultant auditing hospital environmental and safety programs, director/supervisor of hazmat spill response and special operations, training director, and the chief operations officer of an environmental solutions company. Joe began working in emergency medical services as an EMT and soon as a paramedic in 2018. He has spent the last several years at hospitals as a paramedic in the ED, on floors, and in clinics giving him an opportunity to experience the clinical care side of hospitals as well as a new and more complete understanding of hospital’s safety/environmental policies and procedures.

In Joe’s words:

In my opinion, the most rewarding aspect of my career in the hazmat industry was the opportunities I had to help my clients and their employees. This was a huge factor in my decision to enter the field of EMS and the driving force for creating Hospital Safety Training. I felt the greatest impact I made in the hazmat industry was through training: ensuring my students were trained to a standard that guaranteed they had the tools to remain safe and handle dangerous situations efficiently and securely.

I found that the hazmat industry lacked any resource for training that was geared specifically for the medical industry and sought to remedy this. I have designed courses that precisely address environmental/safety issues specific to hospitals and have formatted my trainings in an easy-to-understand manner that is relatable to hospital employees.

I strive to help people and make a positive impact which is why whether its performing trainings, consulting on safety and compliance, or simply answering your questions I am more than happy to help and look forward to meeting you.
